“SOLD OUT” THE AMERICAN PREVIEW OF BENVENUTO BRUNELLO:GREAT EXPECTATIONS FOR THE 2010, A 5 STAR VINTAGE

From January 20 to January 22 in New York and San Francisco, wine experts, restaurateurs, media and enthusiasts will have the opportunity to enjoy a preview tasting of the Brunello 2010, a vintage considered exceptional by the critics and the producers themselves.

The Brunello di Montalcino 2010 is one of the most eagerly awaited wines of the New Year: stated by Winenews, which recently reprinted in its paper the study conducted by “Wine Searcher” which interviewed some of the  most famous wine merchants in the U.K.

When presented during the Benvenuto Brunello Anteprima, the 2010 harvest obtained 5 stars, the maximum that can be awarded by experts who are called upon every year to judge the quality of the harvested grapes. Franco Biondi Santi, the historic producer of Brunello who died in April 2013, had also stated that the “2010 harvest was extraordinary".

From January 20 to 22, the U.S. market will have the chance to taste the great Tuscan red during the preview of Benvenuto Brunello USA, which will be hosted in the cities of New York and San Francisco. The two events will offer the opportunity for more than 40 producers to introduce themselves and present their prestigious Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino wines to a public of experts, sommeliers, media, opinion leaders in the trade and wine enthusiasts.

The tastings will be held in the prestigious settings of Gotham Hall in New York and The Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco and will be conducted respectively by Christy Canterbury MW, the journalist, speaker and, above all, Master of Wine since 2011 who divides her time between Manhattan and the world’s vineyards, and by Anthony Dias Blue, editor-in-chief of The Tasting Panel magazine and one of the leading experts in fine food and wine in the United States.

From February 20 to 23, the Brunello 2010 and the Rosso 2013 will be presented to the Italian and international press and trade operators at the traditional Benvenuto Brunello event in Montalcino, Italy.
