Benvenuto Brunello flies to 6 countries around the world from the United States, to Canada, with stopovers in the UK and Switzerland, via China and Japan. The preview moves simultaneously to New York, Miami, Dallas, Toronto, Vancouver, Zurich, Shanghai and Tokyo. Anticipated by the London date last November 21th, the foreign day dedicated to the prince of Tuscan reds records this year a doubling of the cities involved. Six target markets that together are worth 60% of total Docg exports. Brunello Day will include tasting sessions in each metropolis reserved for journalists, sommeliers, opinion leaders, buyers and restaurateurs for a total of nearly a thousand participating industry professionals to taste the preview of Brunello 2019 and Riserva 2018. Conducting the masterclasses were journalists and wine experts Mark Guillaudeu (New York), Lyn Farmer (Miami), James Tidwell (Dallas), Michaela Morris (Vancouver), Michael Godel (Toronto) Othmar Kiem and Simon Staffler (Zurich), Ian D’Agata (Shanghai) and Isao Miyajima (Tokyo) while the London tasting preview was led by Walter Speller.
