The Casanuova delle Cerbaie winery is located beneath the town of Montalcino in the northern sector of the region, its vineyards lying 250 to 350 meters above sea level on a clay soil with calcareous rocks. The vineyards extend over the prestigious hill of Montosoli and stretch to the base of the hill on which Montalcino is perched. Although our winery is moderately scaled, we favor quality over quantity and hence do not produce a vast number of bottles of wine. Our total production hovers around 35,000 bottles per year. Our wine production remains entirely manual, from the initial selection of grapes in the vineyards themselves, then from the sorting table to the bottling.
