The International Agricultural History Laboratory returns to Montalcino

At the beginning of September, while among the Brunello vineyards the wineries are preparing to experience the most important moment of the year, the city of Montalcino becomes the capital of medieval history thanks to the International Laboratory of Agricultural History, which since 1998 has involved history experts with open lessons and scholarships for young scholars. Edition no. 23, dedicated to the relationship between man and the environment, will be held from tomorrow to 5 September in the Sant’Agostino complex. On 4 September, in the cloister that traditionally hosts Benvenuto Brunello, the “City of Montalcino” prize will be awarded for the history of peasant civilization. The award is decided by a jury which also includes a member of the Board of Directors of the Brunello Consortium and consists of a selection of fine wines offered by the Consortium itself.
