CONCLUSIONS OF THE BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO INVESTIGATIONS

The Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino was satisfied to hear the communication of the Revenue Office regarding the conclusions of the investigations concerning Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino.

The President of the Consorzio – Patrizio Cencioni – confirms that all Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino wines currently on the market have undergone all control procedures foreseen by the law and have been affirmed as qualified and with all the attributes established by the relative Production Regulations. The latest vintages on the market – 2004 and 2007 respectively both valued at the utmost qualitative levels of five stars – are being received with considerable appreciation both by critics and consumers.

The President of the Consorzio is confident that the conclusion of the investigations will enable a prompt definition of the positions of the various estates and of those involved in the investigations.
