The Colombini family has owned land in Montalcino since 1352, and the Fattoria dei Barbi from the late 1700s. The property extends over 350 hectares (865 acres) of fields and vineyards in southern Tuscany, in Montalcino, Scansano and Chianti. We have produced Brunello since 1892 and we were the first to export it to Europe, America and Asia. From the 19th century to today our wines have won awards all over the world, and our blue label has always been the most famous Brunello. La Fattoria dei Barbi is now owned by Stefano Cinelli Colombini, who continues a story that has seen the Colombini family connected to these lands for more than six centuries; a very long time in which the family has always defended the traditions and values of the culture of Montalcino, whose ultimate and most valuable fruit is the Brunello.
