Aldemaro Machetti after building from scratch Tenuta Oliveto cannot stay away from the vineyards and so after less than two years later the end of that great piece of history he fell in love, with his family and especially his son Alberto already involved in many aspects of the wine industry, for a tiny garden-vineyard of just three acres nearby the Sant’Antimo abbey in Castelnuovo dell’Abate.
That small piece of land quickly become “Vigna dei Frati” and the relationship is magical given the short distance to Aldemaro’s place of birth, the farm of Terrarossa. With extreme care for the tiny amount fruit and the smallest details from the 2015 vintage we are working with the only goal of a single label to continue, from a different terroir, the great history of the firsts amazing vintages of the Oliveto’s Riserva with a great cru limited to 3.000 bottles per year.
