Conti Marone Cinzano’s inaugural wine, Lot.1 is a single lot of Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, the result of an itinerant search for the very best plot of vines in any given year. This approach is inspired by the desire to retain Sangiovese’s tender expression in the face of climatic unpredictability.
Headed by 10th-generation winemaker, Santiago Marone Cinzano, and guided by his father, Francesco Marone Cinzano, the creation of Conti Marone Cinzano culminates over 450 years of viticultural experience. With a history dating back to the 16th century, their ancestors were responsible for creating world-renowned vermouth and champagne blends from Northern Italy, and more recently, the Marone Cinzano family has been growing Sangiovese on the Sant’Angelo hill for over 50 years.
This viticultural heritage has driven Santiago to pursue a new goal: producing a Brunello di Montalcino that magnifies the quality of each harvest, by selecting the best fruit from whiche.
