La Colombina is a small, family-run estate occupying an area of about 3 hectares (all registered in the roll of Brunello di Montalcino DOCG).
The vineyards are located in various points of the territory of Castelnuovo dell'Abate and convey different characteristics to their grapes; depending on exposure (south/south-east), altitude (200/400 metres above sea level), soil composition (made up of detritus with a deep active layer on the valley floor and of a mixed consistency, tending towards clay, rich in heavy stone, on the hills), winds (constant sea breezes) and the general climate.
In our cellar all the processes are managed to reduce stress from the movement of the grapes and wine, and everything ends with the storage of the finished bottles in boxes and/or crates, always at a constantly controlled temperature.
