PININO is located in the north of Montalcino, embedded like a natural amphitheater into the beautiful and famous hillside of Montosoli.
PININO follows the ancient tradition of Montalcino: Rosso di Montalcino and Brunello di Montalcino are aged in large oak wooden barrels made from Slavonian Oak. The vineyards and cellar are at the center of our attention in order to achieve the highest quality wines.
Four hectares are located on the PININO estate, with a southern orientation and a high presence of schist based soil (galestro), tuff, and clay. The remaining twelve hectares are located on the Canchi estate with a south-eastern orientation and mixed soils consisting of clay and lime-rich ground. This variety of exposures and soils give the wines a great complexity in terms of structure and aromas.
