BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO PROTAGONIST IN NEW YORK
Eataly New York is devoting the month of September to the great Tuscan red wine in its restaurants, wine bars and stores.
Montalcino, 6th September 2012 Inauguration to-day at 12 o’clock (6pm in Italy) of the month that Eataly NY is dedicating to Brunello di Montalcino. For 30 days, on the prestigious shelves of the New York shop, in the middle of the most central part of 5th Avenue, there will be a vast selection of labels of the great Tuscan red wine.
At to-day’s lunch at which 3 dishes of Tuscan cuisine prepared by the Great School of Eataly were served, President of the Consorzio Fabrizio Bindocci and Director Stefano Campatelli both made their contributions:
‘The presence “our” Brunello at Eataly flatters us and is a testimonial of how much the American market is an important point of reference for us – commented In NY Fabrizio Bindocci. - This market accounts for 25% export of our total production. We are the standard-bearers of a system that aims at quality and excellence, both of which are winning factors only if they are combined with the territory and a rigorous yet innovative wine-making culture.’ In his speech the President also praised and extolled the essential and unique elements that make Brunello so exceptional: ‘the climate, a unique territory and above all the capacity to know how to make producers. This “capacity” – said the President – can be seen in the fact that people chose to invest and innovate while at the same time respecting both territory and tradition. In knowing how to win in the world yet leaving the plus value on the land enriching it. In the desire of every producer, whether small, medium or large, of beating new records in quality. In knowing how to create a system by which the quality of Ialian wines in the world can be enhanced, because if Brunello wins, the whole of the sector behind it will be winning.
